Smallville Season 10 premiere date ... and new fan fiction!

As you might know, the Season 10 premiere of Smallville (the final season) will air in late September:

Canada: Tuesday, September 28, 2010 on CHCH (in S. Ontario) at 10 p.m. ET. If you have a Channel Zero affiliated station in your area, it may be on their schedule. Nationally, Smallville usually airs on SPACE, Canada's science fiction network. The promo I saw says SPACE will air it on Friday, September 24.

Smallville has bounced through at least half a dozen stations/networks over the years in Canada, so your best bet is to check your local listings.

U.S.: Friday, September 24, 2010 on The CW network at 8 p.m. ET.

This is by no means a comprehensive list and your local listings are the best way to go for the Season 10 premiere in your area -- especially if you're not in North America.

Now, on to my new (resurrected) Smallville fan fiction, "Sever":

"Sever" will continue the story of Clark Kent, Lex Luthor and Bruce Wayne's converging destinies that began with "Inquisitor" and "Nightshade", as tensions between the three escalate to the breaking point (circa Season 7-ish). The time for compromise is over; the war between Wayne and Luthor begins now.

Happy watching -- and reading ;)

Therein lay the success of Smallville Season 10. The program is not so much about superheroes as it is about the interrelationship between characters.Yes, there are a number of heroes and villains who make appearances throughout the program. Yes, there are a number of action sequences and over the top plotlines that comprise the series. In the end, however, the success of the program centers on how it humanizes its characters and provides them with sense of depth not seen in hero programming before.
