My very first fanfic - ever - was the story of Clark and Bruce's first meeting. It's really old and I don't think it's going to be on the web anytime soon :D
In my universe, Bruce and Alfred were travelling on a country road when their car got in an accident. Clark saved them, and that's how Bruce became his friend.
But, he noticed too many unusual things in town and opened up a private dossier on the Kent kid to keep tabs on him. Over time, he learned to trust Clark and supposedly deleted that private dossier three years ago ...
Lionel Luthor hates the Wayne family and has been a rival of Thomas Wayne. Meanwhile, Lex is still a friend of Bruce (since boarding school), but their friendship is slowly becoming strained.
My Alfred is more than a butler. I've made him out to be a former British Army officer and Cold War intelligence spook who's worked around the globe - and he can kick arse when needed!
I've already introduced Oliver Queen (yeah, the Green Arrow) as another school chum of Lex and Bruce.
One day, I may rewrite that introductory story ...
